Purchased a dock about a year and a half ago and wanted to wait to write a review. The dock has performed as it should. Everything that we discussed was completed to satisfaction and has weathered the last 17 months extremely well. I live on a wide body (half mile across) with a straight ahead of view two miles of water towards the dam. So yes, we get a lot of traffic and significant heavy wake boats coming through. There is no bucking or throwing people off balance on this dock. Structurally and in my opinion, the roof system is very robust. We have a lot of wind and I think it is the strongest system I have seen on Smith Lake. Very well-done boat dock! Thanks to all of the crew at Free State Boat Docks that made it happen! Worth waiting for.
Top quality boat docks and excellent customer service. I’m a Smith Lake Realtor and I’ve been on hundreds of docks in all weather and traffic conditions. There IS a difference. I send my clients to Free State because he simply builds the best and strongest dock on the lake. We have a Free State two bay double decker at our office at Duncan Bridge and being on the main body in a high traffic area, you can really see and feel the quality. Especially on the summer weekends when the many boats fly by. Wake boats, heavy traffic, bring it on! Compare with any other dock out there. Look for these key items: true truss construction and a single continuous beam framing. This dock is tough! You won’t be sorry!
I am a Realtor on smith lake as well as a home owner. I have bought and sold several homes on smith lake that have Free State Docks and I have personally purchased several docks from Free State Boat Docks and have always thought they were the best dock on the lake. Being a real estate agent I have had the opportunity to study all of the manufacturers docks and Free State Boat Docks has hands down the best dock on the market. Structurally there is no comparison.
I have customers ask me often who I would use and my answer is if I was buying another dock on smith lake I would call Free State Boat Docks.
